Jakhongir Movlanov

Jakhongir Movlanov is an IETS Fellow with 29 years of professional experience, including 18 years in research. Their expertise spans remote sensing; geochemistry; GIS; geological mapping; deep geological structures and critical-mineral exploration. Project experience in Uzbekistan, Türkiye, China and Azerbaijan.

Movlanov is Director of the Center of Geoinnovation Technologies at the University of Geological Sciences; oversees complex geological analysis and technological testing for Uzbekistan's Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology and leads international research projects.

Previously, Movlanov held senior, advisory or committee roles including research and geological roles contributing to Uzbekistan's mineral-resource databases and international geological studies.

Movlanov holds qualifications including Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (DSc); studies in Geology and Geochemistry, National University of Uzbekistan (1999-2005).
