Chin-Hsien Yu

Dr Chin-Hsien Yu is Partnerships and Programme Development Lead and an IETS Fellow, with expertise in sustainable development, climate finance, natural disaster management, and the interaction between energy and the environment.

She is Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the School of Public Administration at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. She also serves as Deputy Secretary for Promotion and Development of the International Society for Energy Transition Studies, a board member of the Climate Finance Subcommittee of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics, and Associate Deputy Editor of Climatic Change.

Dr Yu’s recent research focuses on carbon-reduction strategies in support of carbon neutrality and their wider economic and social impacts. She has published more than 40 papers in journals including Applied Energy, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Journal of International Money and Finance, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and has also contributed chapters to academic books.

At IETS, she supports partnership development, programme design, funding and project opportunities, institutional engagement, and the development of collaborative initiatives in China and internationally.

Dr Yu received her PhD in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in the United States.
