Ganbat Enkhbayar is an IETS Fellow with 18 years of professional experience. Their expertise spans thermal power generation; power-system operations; energy efficiency; renewable-energy integration; smart grids; energy-sector project management. Eighteen years of experience in Mongolia's power sector.

Enkhbayar is a consultant to the Asian Development Bank on Mongolia's Smart Energy System Development project, focusing on renewable-energy integration and smart-grid deployment.

Previously, Enkhbayar held senior, advisory or committee roles including head of R&D at Mongolia's National Dispatching Center; R&D engineer, energy-conservation manager, turbine operator and boiler operator at a thermal power plant. Worked with ADB, the World Bank, JICA, GIZ and USAID.

Ganbat Enkhbayar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (2002-2007), complemented by specialised training in gas turbine engineering in Japan (2014), PPP foundations in Ulaanbaatar (2023), and cross-border transmission infrastructure in South Korea (2023).
